Enhance property and facility management in Singapore
The Association of Property and Facility Managers (APFM) established in Singapore aims to promote the standard and practice of property and facility management. It provides a platform for exchanges among members as well as dialogues with the authorities and other allied professional bodies. It organises seminars, short courses, talks and promotes research with tertiary institutions.
The Association was formed in July 1995, with the following objectives:
Empowering Professionals in Property and Facility Management
The Association of Property and Facility Managers (APFM) in Singapore sets a minimum education requirement of a diploma or degree in Building, Real Estate, or related fields, with fellows requiring at least 5 years of senior-level experience.
As Singapore’s building stock grows, APFM emphasizes the need for professional self-regulation in property and facility management. The association fosters professional dialogue, organizes seminars, short courses, and collaborates with tertiary institutions for research.
With around 100 members, APFM also aims to expand its reach through corporate membership and regional collaborations. It supports members in sharing expertise offshore, aligning with national efforts to maintain a regional presence despite economic challenges.
